Together, faculty and staff cultivate a collaborative community where innovation, leadership, experiential learning, and student success are at the heart of everything we do.The PositionThe Singelyn Graduate School of Business in the College of Business Administration at Cal Poly Pomona invites applications for temporary faculty positions inthe Master of Science in Financial Analytics (MSFA) program.The MSFA is a STEM-designated, CFA-affiliated graduate program offered in one-year and two-year cohort formats requiring 30 units of coursework. Courses are offered year-round during the fall, spring, and summer terms. The program prepares students for careers in finance by combining a strong foundation in financial markets with advanced analytical and quantitative methods. Students develop the knowledge and technical skills needed to analyze complex financial data, build predictive models, and make data-driven financial decisions. The curriculum includes financial analysis, advanced corporate finance, financial reporting and equity valuation, quantitative investment analysis and portfolio management, big data analytics in finance using Python and R, data visualization, machine learning in finance, fixed income securities, quantitative risk management with financial derivatives using Python, financial technology (FinTech), and an asset management practicum.The pool is continuously open, and positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term begins in late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends in mid-May.
