About the Role

As the Sales & Service Advisor , you'll serve as the primary point of contact for customers through phone and live video interactions.

You'll guide customers through the service process, explain repair recommendations in simple terms, prepare accurate estimates, schedule appointments, and confidently recommend services that add value. You'll work with proven scripts, pricing structures, and shop management software while helping customers feel informed and supported every step of the way.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talking with people, has practical automotive knowledge, and thrives in a structured, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Virtual Front Desk

• Answer incoming customer calls professionally and efficiently.

• Welcome walk-in customers through a live virtual reception system

• Deliver a friendly, professional, and confident customer experience.

• Guide customers through vehicle check-in and service processes

Service Advising

• Explain maintenance recommendations and repair services in easy-to-understand language.

• Answer customer questions regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs.

• Educate customers on service recommendations while building trust and confidence.

• Ensure every customer receives clear and accurate information

Parts Lookup & Service Estimates

• Research and identify required automotive parts

• Prepare accurate repair estimates using shop management software.

• Present pricing clearly and professionally

• Help customers understand the value of recommended services

Sales & Appointment Scheduling

• Follow structured sales scripts and proven customer workflows.

• Handle objections with professionalism and confidence.

• Recommend maintenance packages and additional services when appropriate.

• Convert inquiries into confirmed service appointments.

• Maintain an organized appointment schedule.

Video Customer Engagement

• Conduct live customer interactions through in-shop video technology.

• Assist customers with remote check-in procedures.

• Guide clients through vehicle drop-off processes.

• Maintain a polished, professional appearance during all video interactions.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Solid understanding of automotive systems and routine vehicle maintenance

• Ability to explain mechanical concepts in simple, customer-friendly language

• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities

• Comfortable following structured processes and sales scripts

• Confident handling objections and recommending appropriate services

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor

• Experience working in an automotive repair shop

• Hands-on automotive technician or mechanic experience

• Experience researching automotive parts and preparing service estimates

• Familiarity with shop management software
