About the Role

We are looking to add new talent to our Ecuador Team to support a diverse portfolio of mining, civil, geotechnical, water resources, and environmental infrastructure projects across Latin America and internationally. The Junior Drafter role provides an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to develop technical drafting, design, and GIS skills while working alongside experienced engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary project teams.

In this role, you will support the preparation of engineering drawings, design layouts, maps, and technical documentation for mining and civil infrastructure projects. You will contribute to the development of design deliverables from conceptual stages through construction-level documentation while strengthening your technical, analytical, and professional capabilities. This position offers hands-on exposure to consulting services, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and field and office-based project support.

This Role Will Give You the Opportunity To:

• Prepare and develop engineering drawings, plans, maps, and technical documentation for mining and infrastructure projects.

• Support design and drafting activities using CAD and GIS tools.

• Process and interpret engineering, topographic, and spatial data required for project development.

• Assist with earthworks calculations, quantity estimations, and design deliverables.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution and meet quality standards.

• Maintain project documentation and comply with KCB drafting, quality, and safety procedures.

• Contribute to continuous improvement, technical development, and successful project delivery.

We Are Looking for Someone Who Has:

• Technical diploma or degree in Technical Drafting, Geography, Cartography, or a related discipline.

• Around 1 year of experience in engineering drafting, design, CAD, GIS, or related technical roles.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; experience with GIS and Global Mapper is an asset.

• Ability to interpret technical information, drawings, and spatial data.

• Intermediate English proficiency; Portuguese is an asset.
