Senior Platform Engineer

As Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize the platform infrastructure that enables high-scale software delivery. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the Developer Experience by creating and improving tools, systems, and processes. You will collaborate closely with teams, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices in automation, security, and scalability. As a senior engineer, you will take ownership of critical platform components and contribute significantly to strategic decisions, ensuring alignment with both business and technical objectives.

Job responsibilities

• You will work within teams to launch projects through hands-on implementation, evaluate existing infrastructure, and drive continuous improvements.
• You will collaborate with clients to explore their needs and build a technical roadmap with impactful solutions that support their business goals.
• You will help shape and build the cloud and infrastructure practice through collaboration with other practitioners and internal teams.
• You will ensure and build the controls and processes for continuous delivery, driving automation through all stages of infrastructure and applications.
• You will take a proactive role in monitoring and ensuring that technical expectations of deliverables are consistently met on projects.
• You will provide expertise and guidance in DevOps, cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering both internally and at client sites.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

• You are an advanced English speaker , ready to communicate and collaborate effectively with global teams.
• You have deep proficiency in AWS, building solutions that involve services like AWS Lambda , AWS API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB , RDS, and AWS Bedrock.
• You bring strong Terraform experience for building and maintaining infrastructure modules.
• You are highly skilled in Python for backend development , API design, and scripting.
• You have mastery of GitHub Actions and GitHub Enterprise for building and maintaining workflows, secrets, and environments.
• You possess solid SQL knowledge for database querying, optimization, and relational data management.
• You are an expert with Git for version control, branching strategies, and collaborative workflows.
• You can design enterprise or web-scale hosting platforms, applying DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code.
• You understand infrastructure vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security, software supply chain security, and monitoring systems.
• You like staying ahead of the curve, so bonus points apply if you have experience with unit testing, automated testing tools, stress, and performance testing.

• You genuinely enjoy interacting with teammates across the business and have a knack for communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• You love creating robust, scalable, flexible, and relevant solutions that help transform businesses and industries.
• You are comfortable partnering directly with infrastructure technicians and support analysts while simultaneously advising senior IT leadership.
• You adapt effortlessly to uncertainty, embrace change, and confidently make decisions with limited information to achieve positive outcomes.
